Unfortunately, I do not accept insurance. However, I can provide you with a superbill that can be submitted to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. I am considered an Out-of-Network (OON) provider for insurance companies.
Please check with your insurance for OON options and ask if they reimburse for LMFTAs. You are 100% responsible for working with your insurance if you choose. I do not check for your benefits.

Debit and all major credits are accepted.
Payment is due at the time of service unless special arrangements have been made.
Payments thereafter are due at the end of each session by either Venmo, Cash App, Pay Pal, Zelle, or via Credit Card. For manual card entry, the fee is 3.5% + $.15 per transaction. Your rate, as agreed upon, is determined by services.

You must cancel your appointment 48 hours in advance of the scheduled appointment. You will be charged the full amount of the session for missed appointments or failing to cancel 48 hours prior to your appointment. No calls and No shows will be charged the full session fee.
Please note that when an appointment is scheduled, I have reserved that time for you. Clients are expected to show up at the start of the session. If you are late, I may not be able to offer you the full session. If you are more than 15 minutes late, the session will be canceled. This would be considered a no-show, and you would be charged a full fee. If you communicate that you are going to be late, the therapist will determine if the session will be conducted. If you cancel two appointments in a row, you may risk losing your spot on our caseload.

There are few spots available for sliding scale on a first-come, first-serve, case by case basis. Once those slots are filled, they may not be available. Please ask during your initial consult. Note: sliding scales are not offered to couples.

You can pay with HSA/FSA accounts usually offered by your employer. Ask your employer if this is available for you.
We can meet on a bi weekly or monthly basis if this is more feasible.
The following organizations offer short-term funds for therapy at least once a year (It is your responsibility to apply for these options if needed):
-
Some clients benefit from brief therapy (1-4 sessions) or short-term therapy (3-6 months) for a single issue, while other clients benefit from long-term therapy (6-12 months+) for more complex issues.
Some clients prefer meeting weekly, while others prefer every 2 weeks or once a month. Therapy works best weekly or bi-weekly to begin, then transitioning to less frequency and scheduling as needed.
-
Our first few sessions will be a chance for both of us to get to know one another.
I can provide you with an individualized treatment plan for your goals after 1-2 sessions so you have structure, a roadmap, and a sense of what to expect as we work together.
A treatment plan focuses on your goals, barriers/what’s getting in the way, ways to work toward your goals, and when you would know/feel you’d be finished with therapy.
If we don’t work well together or you need a different type of therapist or treatment, I’ll provide referrals to others who can help you and/or recommendations to other types of treatment/therapy modalities that might be a better fit.

Consider if therapy is the right approach/fit for what you’re seeking vs. other alternatives (coaching, support groups, courses, workshops, retreats, etc.)
Establish achievable goals and expectations
Identify what’s most important to you in a therapist (e.g. approach, style, identity, age, personality, cultural background, values, beliefs, training, fees, insurance).
Consider how much you can afford to pay for therapy out of pocket monthly or if you want to use insurance.
Patience: It may take multiple sessions to feel progress.
Be honest about what is helpful, isn’t helpful, and tell your therapist (solicit feedback)
Practice skills, tools, homework outside of session (e.g. journaling, reducing avoidance/fears, establishing a daily practice of some sort, challenging unhelpful thoughts, etc.)
Come into the session with topics you want to talk about/explore
Not every therapist will be a good fit. There are over 20 types of therapy available. There are many types of therapists with different personalities, temperaments, styles, approaches, cultural backgrounds, etc. Find someone with whom you feel comfortable talking openly.

As a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate, I am afraid I would not be able to see you unless you are physically in the state of Washington.
I am ONLY licensed in the State of Washington. If you are a resident in a different state and NOT Washington, I would not be able to work with you.
